Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course (ACLS)

Course Overview:

This is a 2 day course to prepare the health professional to recognise that a patient is in need of urgent medical attention with cardiac emergencies. The participant will be taught how to manage the various cardiac algorithms. BLS (previously know as BCLS (CPR) is a prerequisite to attend the ACLS course. The ACLS course is a Heart and Stroke course and the BLS course must also be a Heart and Stroke course to qualify for the ACLS course. BLS will be provided as a separate course.

I am a retired Critical Care Nurse with 43yrs experience. I have been teaching ACLS for approximately 25 years in the Hamilton area at McMaster University Medical Centre as well as various sites in Ontario including Dental Offices, Dermatology Clinics, Plastics Clinics, Research Clinics, and various rural hospitals. My instructors include Doctors, nurses, and paramedics which bring to our courses a wealth of experience from various professional specialties. I also provide classes in Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation to those who have little or no experience with diagnosing and understanding on how to interpret the various cardiac rhythms.
