Course Overview:

IPAC Consulting has provided over 300 IPAC assessments to dental practices in Ontario. We have helped dental practices incorporate IPAC requirements while still maintaining a functional workflow. IPAC Consulting will lead a session outlining:

  • What to expect if Public Health comes knocking
  • Common trends and non compliances
  • Understanding best practices
  • Learn tips on how to successfully pass a public health inspection

Jessica Kooger
BSc., CIC, Senior Infection Control Consultant, IPAC Consulting

Jessica Kooger holds a BSc in Biomedical Science, with a minor in Microbiology (University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON). Jessica has successfully been certified through the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology since 2010.

Jessica has completed over 50 dental office assessments, practice audits, sterilization centre reviews and has provided onsite infection control education. Jessica has provided solutions to address gaps identified through auditing programs and she has assisted dental offices with incorporating infection control requirements into feasible and practical applications in daily practice. She is well versed in the appropriate guidelines that must be adhered to, in order to ensure compliance. Jessica has extensive knowledge of infection control in the field of dentistry.

Jessica has nearly 10 years of experience in infection control from large tertiary acute care centres, community hospitals, community health care centres and clinical offices. Jessica has also been a manager in Infection Control and Medical Device Reprocessing and has utilized her knowledge to transfer practices to the dental office setting. In addition, Jessica has had the privilege of presenting research findings at the international APIC conference.
